Dishin’ On Daytime
The snow is falling and traffic is bumper to bumper. It’s February in Ohio.

It’s February. When did it get to be February? I’m really getting tired of the cold and the grey skies. Could you have the winter blues?
If I see you at the store and ask how are you, I really don’t want to know the details!

The Daytime office could not stay on the air without the help of our fearless interns.
My parents came to visit this past weekend, and I realize that someday, and it may be sooner than later, my parents are going to need extra assistance at home. It’s certainly a scary proposition for me and for them, and I’m sure many of you reading this find yourself in the same situation.
Don’t you just love girlfriends????
Friday, I held my annual get together for a few close girl friends. Most of them I’ve worked with over the years at NBC 4, but I also included others who are just plain fun women who can talk with anyone.
Friends are a true gift. Trouble is, sometimes we take for granted the people who mean the most to us.
My two college kids are back on campus, and I spent the weekend cleaning up the house after their departure. Things are more orderly now and it’s a big relief. Does that make me a bad mother?
My son Conor has been in Los Angeles all summer, for a college internship and also working in the entertainment industry. He certainly got a taste of it the last few months.
As I write this, my husband is bustling in the kitchen, preparing to can his famous peppers. “Hogan’s Hungarian Hots” really aren’t famous, but don’t tell my husband Dan. He thinks they are award winning.
Could it be time for school already? Didn’t we just put the backpacks away for the summer? Didn’t we just pay for the pool pass?
One look behind the scenes at this year’s Ohio State Fair, and you notice how many young people are involved in so many aspects of this statewide festival.
